Basketball
Kingdom Sports KC offers a youth basketball program for Pre-K through 8th grade boys and girls that prioritizes player development under experienced coaches and a well-organized structure. We focus on teaching real skills, building confident teammates, and creating a positive game-day experience—all guided by Christian principles. Our goal is simple: deliver a great program families can trust and players love.
Winter Session 1
When? Saturday afternoons | November 1,8,15,22 December 6,13 (6 weeks)
SESSION TIMES (tentative plans)
2:00pm - 3:00pm (Kindergarten)
3:00pm - 4:00pm (1st - 2nd grade)
What? 30 minutes of practice, 5 minute devotion, 25 minutes of game play
Who? K - 2nd grade boys and girls (co-ed) - beginners and experienced players welcome!
Where? Apex Sports Hub (formerly Epic Sports Lodge) 19310 E 50th Terrace, Independence, MO 64055
Why? Experienced coaches, healthy competition, devotions and prayer before games, play with friends
How much?
Early Bird Rate (before 10/15): $85 per player
Regular Rate: $105 per player
Multi-sibling discounts are available and are automatically applied during registration
Other info: Players grouped according to grade level, friend requests available

Week 1: meet the coach + Practice
Week 2 - 5: 40 minute practice, 5 minute devotion, 45 minute game play
Week 6: playoffs!

I’ve enjoyed playing basketball my whole life. I played competitively growing up and also played varsity at Blue Springs High School. I continued to play for fun in various rec leagues over the years.
Recently, I’ve found a passion for coaching. I enjoy helping kids grow and develop skills while ultimately pointing them back to honoring God and finding greater purpose. At my current job I’m a Manager of Development at an IT company. I enjoy spending time with my family and playing all the sports for fun with my three young kids.
